How Palomar Icon™ Fractional 1540 (non-ablative) treatments work

The Palomar Icon™ 1540 laser delivers light to the skin through an array of high precision microbeams that penetrate deep into the skin’s dermis. This gentle penetration creates narrow, deep columns that prompt textured, loose, injured, stretched or scarred skin to repair itself and create healthier, younger-looking skin.

Palomar Icon™ 1540 fractional resurfacing is less invasive than ablative laser procedures. While ablative treatments remove the top layer of skin, fractional treatments heat up only the underlying skin tissue so that the body can produce new collagen, which stimulates skin regeneration.

Depending on the condition of the skin being treated, results can be achieved with one to five treatments performed a few weeks apart. Palomar Icon™ 1540 laser resurfacing treatments are safe and effective for all skin tones and skin types.
