Restylane® Silk is a top-of-the-line dermal filler specifically formulated for injections into the lips, as a way to improve lip shape, balance and decrease the appearance of wrinkles around the mouth. However, one of the most important aspects of Restylane® Silk injections is to administer the treatment in a way that creates a balanced appearance. This is absolutely vital with lip injections because even the smallest change in the shape or size of the lips can drastically alter your appearance. Because of this, California Skin Institute providers have dedicated significant effort to perfecting their Restylane® Silk injection techniques to ensure the best outcomes for our patients.
California Skin Institute was honored to be one of the first practices in the country to offer Restylane Silk® treatments to our patients.
California Skin Institute: Top 100 Restylane® Silk Provider
California Skin Institute has been named a Top 100 volume injector of Restylane® Silk.
This Top 100 recognition is a testament to our experience and expertise with the Restylane® Silk product and procedure, making our practice the destination of choice for high patient satisfaction with quality outcomes.
What is Restylane® Silk?
Restylane Silk® is a clear gel formulated with small hyaluronic acid molecules. The manufacturer, Galderma, created this filler to have a very fine texture that is also lightweight. This feature of the Restylane® Silk filler is one of the key factors of its ability to create natural improvements, for several reasons.
Firstly, the lightweight nature of this filler allows your California Skin Institute provider to complete the injections with ultra-fine needles. This makes lip injections significantly more comfortable for the patient and allows the provider greater control over the amount of filler delivered under the skin.
Secondly, the small molecules of hyaluronic acid allow for the creation of more subtle changes – which is essential when it comes to lip injections because this achieves a very natural appearance.
Lastly, the light-weight density of this filler helps California Skin Institute patients have a natural feeling in the lips. If a thicker filler was to be used, the lips might feel too tight or heavy. But with Restylane Silk®, the lips feel very natural, as if no injections were ever performed.
How Restylane® Silk Works
The driving force behind Restylane® Silk is hyaluronic acid, which attracts moisture to the treatment site.
What Restylane® Silk Treats
Restylane® Silk was specifically designed for lip enhancements and can be used to increase the volume of the lips and even delicately alter their shape.* The fine texture of this filler acts almost as a fine paintbrush that allows your California Skin Institute provider a great deal of control when enhancing certain lines and features of the lips.*
In addition to enhancing lip volume, Restylane Silk® can be used to remove wrinkles around the mouth, such as vertical lines, or “pucker wrinkles.” The added volume provides support under the skin so that the wrinkles become less pronounced.
How Long does Restylane® Silk Last?
Restylane® Silk improvements will appear immediately after the injection, as the gel fills up volume under the skin. As your body starts to break down the gel, the results will be maintained by the hyaluronic acid, which will draw moisture to the area.
What to Expect During Restylane Silk® Treatment
During your Restylane Silk® treatment at California Skin Institute, your provider will carefully analyze the size and shape of your lips, and will listen to all of your concerns. Even small changes to the lips will make a big impact on how you look.
Once the treatment begins, your provider will either apply a topical anesthetic or will use a Restylane® Silk formulation that contains lidocaine, for maximum comfort. When your treatment is complete, you will see immediate results that should last for several months.
Does Restylane® Silk Hurt?
Restylane® Silk lip injections at California Skin Institute are very comfortable because our providers use topical anesthetics or lidocaine to minimize any pain or discomfort.
