You tweeze, shave or wax your unwanted facial hair (UFH) on a regular basis. But, even when you’re with people up close and face-to-face, you may still worry that others will notice since unwanted facial hair is difficult to cover-up.
There are not many choices when it comes to managing unwanted facial hair. At the time of this writing VANIQA® is the only prescription product approved by the FDA and is clinically proven to reduce the growth of unwanted facial hair. VANIQA® performs by slowing the growth of hair rather then just removing it. Many women will see improvement within several weeks when used twice a day every day but for some women it may take longer. With VANIQA®, you’ll feel confident that people won’t notice your UFH, even when you’re up close.

How does VANIQA® work?
VANIQA® works right at the source of the problem, in the hair follicle. It is thought that VANIQA® works during the growth stage of the hair cycle by blocking an enzyme in the follicle that is necessary for hair to grow.
How do I use VANIQA®?
Use VANIQA® after cleansing and before applying moisturizer, sunscreen or cosmetics. Apply a thin layer of VANIQA® on the affected area of your face twice a day, until it’s absorbed into your skin.
You should wait 8 hours between applications of VANIQA® and 4 hours before washing your face, so it would be best to incorporate it into your daily morning and night skin care routine. Remember, you should continue to use your current method of hair removal.
How long do I use VANIQA®?
VANIQA® does not work instantly and it takes time for results to become visible. Using VANIQA® doesn’t mean you don’t have to deal with unwanted facial hair anymore. VANIQA® complements your current method of hair removal by reducing the rate of hair growth, so over time, you should be removing UFH less frequently.
If you don’t apply VANIQA® for an extended period of time, hair will begin growing at the same rate as it used to grow. Once you resume using VANIQA® twice a day, every day, hair growth should slow again.
Are there any side effects?
In clinical trials, some women reported mild and temporary skin irritations such as redness, stinging, burning, tingling, acne or rash.
If you experience any of the above symptoms for an extended period of time while using VANIQA®, discontinue use and consult your doctor.
