Meet Our New Hair Restoration Services Specialist Dr. Aaron Chen

Dear Patients,

My name is Dr. Peter Panagotacos. I am a double board-certified dermatologist and cosmetic surgeon with over 50 years of experience in surgical and medical treatments, specializing in hair restoration.

I built my hair restoration practice in San Francisco and, 30 years ago, developed one of the first websites on hair loss treatments – www.HairDoc.com, because I wanted to educate patients on what medical and surgical options were available to them. The practice is frequently referred to as the Hair Doc office”. I am an internationally recognized expert in hair restoration and lecture nationally and all over the world on hair transplantation. Commonly, patients come to my practice from all over the United States because of my expertise, experience, and results.

My specific area of expertise in hair transplantation includes the use of the Robotic ARTAS hair transplant robot. I assess each patient before building an individualized treatment plan that may include follicular unit extraction (FUE) using the first ARTAS® iX robotic hair transplant system on the West Coast, follicular untity transplantation (FUT), platelet-rich plasma injections, laser caps, or prescription, such as for minoxidil and finasteride.

HairDoc is now part of California Skin Institute, located in San Francisco’s Cow Hollow (Marina District) neighborhood. We recently welcomed a talented new doctor. I’d like to take this opportunity to introduce you to Aaron Chen, DO, a board-certified dermatologist who specializes in hair transplants, cosmetic dermatology, and medical dermatology.

Dr. Chen joined us in the spring and has already received a number of outstanding reviews from his patients. He treats men and women with hair loss with a variety of procedures and treatments, including robotic hair transplants, surgical hair restoration, platelet-rich plasma (PRP) treatments, medications and low-laser light therapy. With his extensive experience in cosmetic dermatology, he brings cutting-edge solutions to skincare.
