California Skin Institute Monterey-Ryan Ranch Welcomes Justin Gordon, MD

Justin Gordon, M.D. is a board certified dermatologist specializing in medical, surgical and cosmetic dermatology. Prior to joining the California Skin Institute, Dr. Gordon was a faculty member at Stanford University where he was an Assistant Clinical Professor of Dermatology as well as the Founder and Director of the Acne Specialty Clinic at Stanford. He was actively involved in dermatology education while at Stanford, serving as Associate Program Director for the Stanford Dermatology Residency Program where he delivered lectures to Stanford Dermatology residents and Stanford Medical School students.

Dr. Gordon offers comprehensive dermatologic care covering skin cancer treatment & prevention, sun damage, evaluation of moles and skin growths, actinic keratoses, seborrheic keratoses, cysts, warts, acne, rosacea, eczema, psoriasis, rashes and cosmetic anti-aging treatments including Botox, Dysport, Restylane, Juvederm and a variety of laser technologies.*

Dr. Gordon received his undergraduate degree from Emory University, and then remained at Emory for his medical training where he graduated Magna Cum Laude and was inducted into the Alpha Omega Alpha medical honor society. After medical school, Dr. Gordon completed an internship in Internal Medicine at the Mount Sinai School of Medicine in New York City before completing his dermatology residency. While completing his residency at Stanford, the faculty of Stanford elected Dr. Gordon Chief Resident and awarded him the prestigious Alfred T. Lane Award for compassionate care and communication with patients.*

In addition to medicine, Dr. Gordon has a strong athletic background. While at Emory, he was a 4 year member of the varsity baseball team where he served as Varsity Team Captain, was a 2-time Academic All-American and earned a prestigious NCAA post-graduate scholarship. Dr. Gordon continued his interest in athletics as a Dermatologist, founding a skin cancer education and prevention program while at Stanford called SUNSPORT. SUNSPORT educates outdoor athletes, trainers and coaches on skin cancer prevention. As a part of this program, Dr. Gordon has participated in numerous free skin cancer screenings to many athletes and coaches in the Bay Area.

Outside of work, Dr. Gordon has a passion for traveling, hiking, food, skiing, golf and tennis.
