We are so pleased and excited to announce our 3 new locations in San Francisco:

With these latest additions, California Skin Institute continues to expand its footprint in the San Francisco Bay Area with practices offering comprehensive dermatology services and serving patients across the entire metropolitan area. In addition to offering the latest medical and aesthetic dermatology services available, the newly added location on Union Street also specializes in ARTAS hair transplantation and PRP for hair loss. This is a state-of-the-art facility headed by the world-renowned dermatologist and cosmetic surgeon, Dr. Peter Panagotacos.

Meet the Team

Dr. Peter Panagotacos is a double board-certified dermatologist and cosmetic surgeon with over 40 years of experience in surgical and medical treatments and a highly respected specialist in hair growth after diseases and injuries or because of hereditary hair loss.

Dr. Samuel Ellison is a board-certified dermatologist with expertise in the full range of medical, cosmetic and surgical dermatology. He has training in internal medicine, emergency room medicine, and pediatrics and is a clinical instructor of dermatology at the University of California at San Francisco (UCSF).

Mike Karls, MMSc, PA-C has over 15 years of experience in medicine and dermatology. He specializes in medical dermatology and cosmetic procedures and previously worked as a chemist, synthesizing medications for the treatment of HIV.
