Cathleen Exconde-Mercado, NP is a board-certified nurse practitioner specializing in medical, surgical and cosmetic dermatology. Her expertise includes skin cancer screening, skin cancer excisions, biopsies, skin tag removals, melasma treatment, Botox®, microneedling and more.

Cathleen graduated from the nurse practitioner program at Charles Drew University in Los Angeles prior to completing a one year dermatology fellowship at California Skin Institute. In addition to being a licensed nurse practitioner, Cathleen is a licensed physician in the Philippines. She speaks fluent Tagalog and completed Medical school at the University of the East, Manila, Philippines in 2014. Cathleen is an active member of the American Association of Nurse Practitioners and the California Association of Nurse Practitioners.

In her free time Cathleen enjoys traveling and adventuring with her husband and four children. She also spends her time organizing events and parties, and participating in charity work/medical missions. She values self care, including spa days with friends and taking pilates classes.
