Vadim Victor Lincoln, MD

Dr. Lincoln is a board-certified dermatologist and fellowship-trained, board-certified Mohs micrographic surgeon at Schweiger Dermatology Group.

He specializes in Mohs micrographic surgery, facial plastic reconstructive surgery, minimally invasive cosmetic surgery and complex wound healing. He is double board-certified in dermatology and Mohs micrographic surgery. With a patient-centered and technologically advanced approach, he is committed to providing comprehensive skin cancer treatment with optimal cosmetic outcomes.

Dr. Lincoln earned his Bachelor of Arts in English literature with a concentration in molecular biology from the University of California, Berkeley, where he also served as a student instructor in biology. He received his medical degree from the Keck School of Medicine at the University of Southern California. During medical school, he led research on Recessive Dystrophic Epidermolysis Bullosa (RDEB), discovering a novel treatment approach for this severe genetic skin disorder. His work resulted in multiple publications and international presentations, including a landmark first-author study published in the Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences of the United States of America. He shared this treatment with children at Camp Wonder, where he volunteered as a counselor for the RDEB cabin, a defining experience in his career.

His additional contributions in medical research include identifying a molecular driver of wound healing (HSP-90α), discovering a biomarker for cutaneous squamous cell carcinoma (periostin), and contributing to the genomic sequencing of the first HPV-associated sarcoma. He graduated with the Dean’s Research Scholar Award, Distinction in Research, Academic Distinction and was inducted into the Alpha Omega Alpha Medical Honor Society.

Dr. Lincoln completed his dermatology residency at the University of California, San Francisco, where he served as Chief Resident of Cosmetics and resident surgical instructor. He then completed an ACGME-accredited fellowship in Mohs micrographic and reconstructive surgery at Cedars-Sinai, where he trained in advanced techniques including intraoperative immunohistochemistry for high-risk tumors. His reconstructive work emphasizes techniques that minimize scarring, and he incorporates emerging technology such as growth factor-infused skin grafts to support optimal healing.

He is also the founder of UV&Me, a nonprofit organization focused on sun safety education for children. Under his leadership, the program expanded across several states and Canada, and was recognized by the National Council of Skin Cancer Prevention in Washington, DC, where he was awarded for his service.
