Greg S. Morganroth, MD is a double board-certified, fellowship-trained dermatologic surgeon specializing in Mohs Surgery, laser, reconstructive, and cosmetic surgery. He is a nationally recognized expert in local anesthesia skin surgery and is frequently consulted by his colleagues for their patients in need of specialized skin cancer surgery, reconstructive surgery, and cosmetic surgery. Over the past three decades, he has performed over 38,000 Mohs procedures, a similar number of skin cancer reconstructions, thousands of facelifts, eyelifts, body sculpting with liposuction, neck sculpting, chin implants, scar revisions, laser procedures and chemical peels, and countless dermal fillers and neurotoxin treatments.
Dr. Morganroth was named by Newsweek magazine as one of the top 150 cosmetic dermatologists in the U.S. in 2023 and was awarded the 32nd Best Dermatologist & Cosmetic Surgeon out of 500 in 2022, He has been named a top doctor by “Castle Connolly Top Doctors” for most of his career.
He attended college at The University of Michigan where he graduated with distinction followed by his M.D. cum laude from the University of Michigan School of Medicine. Dr. Morganroth completed his internship at the University of Pennsylvania, a dermatology residency at Yale University, and a Mohs, Laser, and dermatologic surgery fellowship at the Skin and Mohs Surgery Center, Baptist Medical Center and Hunkeler Eye Clinic in Kansas City, Missouri. Following his fellowship, he moved to Silicon Valley to open his private practice of dermatologic and cosmetic surgery in Mountain View.
Dr. Morganroth founded California Skin Institute two decades ago and directed the company until CSI was sold in early 2025. Dr. Morganroth now practices full-time at his independent Mohs, laser, and cosmetic surgery practice in downtown Palo Alto at the Palo Alto Dermatology Institute. He continues to work one day per week at CSI – San Jose performing Mohs surgery and advanced reconstructive surgery.
In addition to his expertise in skin cancer treatment, Dr. Morganroth’s broad repertoire of surgical procedures also spans the gap between dermatology and plastic surgery. He is nationally recognized for his unique, minimally invasive cosmetic rejuvenation procedures with local anesthesia.
Dr. Morganroth is married with four children and enjoys downhill skiing, golf and spending time in the mountains of Montana and the Adirondacks with his family.
