Laser Nurses
The California Skin Institute (CSI) team consists of experienced physicians, nurses, cosmetic consultants, aestheticians, and support staff who are committed to providing the highest quality of dermatology care. Many of the staff have worked at CSI for many years and have a broad experience in managing the most challenging skin patients. We are committed to staying on the cutting edge and work diligently to ensure that our patients are treated in the manner that we would expect for our own family members.
Kathy Aronson, RN – Mountain View – San Jose/Los Gatos & San Mateo
Kathy Aronson has 20 years of experience as a Registered Nurse. Kathy is a graduate of California State University East Bay where she received her Nursing B.S.N. in 1993. Kathy became interested in the aesthetic field of nursing in 2006. Her passion lies firmly in the cosmetic industry and finds pleasure in helping her clients’ external appearance match their internal youthfulness. Kathy specializes in Laser services including Hair Removal, Intense Pulsed Light Treatments, the Xtrac laser for psoriasis/vitiligo, PinPointe laser for foot fungus, the Versa Pulse and Gemini Lasers for vascular and pigmented lesions, Ulthera for skin tightening, Fraxel Dual laser skin resurfacing for pigment and wrinkles, Coolsculpting for contouring treatment that freezes fat, Liposonix non-invasive fat reduction therapy, and miraDry for excessive underarm sweating.
Adrian Batti, RN – Monterey at Ryan Ranch
Adrian Batti has been a Registered Nurse for over 30 years, and has a wealth of experience in Medical dermatology as well as cosmetic dermatology. Adrian began her career at Watsonville Community Hospital where she was a charge nurse in labor and delivery. She has since held positions at the Community Hospital of the Monterey Peninsula, and the Laguna Seca Dermatology and Aesthetic Center. She currently provides care at VNA and Hospice in Monterey and Salinas, and is a valued laser nurse at CSI. Adrian has lived on the Monterey Peninsula her entire life, and has been an active member of the community. In her free time she enjoys volunteering, attending her local women’s book club, and participating in her BUNCO group.
Shirley Faxon, RN – Monterey at Ryan Ranch
Shirley Faxon has 40 years of experience as a Registered Nurse. She is a graduate of Saint Francis Memorial Hospital Nursing School in San Francisco, she worked as the assistant head nurse at Saint Francis until 1969. In 1971 she became a staff nurse at the Community Hospital of Monterey Peninsula was successful in her many roles until 2003, when she became interested in the aesthetic field of nursing. She pursued her interest by working with dermatologists in 2003, and has excelled in the aesthetic nursing field. Shirley specializes in laser hair removal, treatment of psoriasis, Palomar for Rosacea, vessels, and age spots. She is also able to perform microdermabrasion, Vitalize Peels, and consult on Obagi.
Jenna Kammann, RN – San Jose/Los Gatos
Jenna obtained her Bachelors Degree in Health Science from Chico State in 1997. After working in the healthcare field for a few years she returned to De-Anza College and obtained her Associates Degree in Nursing in 2001. She has been involved in cosmetic dermatology and laser technologies since 2003. Jenna has extensive knowledge in laser hair reduction, Fraxel treatments, IPL (photofacials) and body sculpting (CoolSculpting & Liposonix). When Jenna is not working here at California Skin Institute she enjoys her per-diem position in Labor and Delivery, as well as outdoor fun with her two daughters and husband.
