Summary of the California Skin Institute Surgical Fellowships
The California Skin Institute offers two surgical fellowships of 53 weeks duration. This fellowship in Mohs and Advanced Dermatologic Surgery is an official Mohs fellowship under the American College of Mohs Surgery and will enable the graduate to become an associate of the Mohs College. The fellowship is designed to provide a comprehensive exposure to cutaneous oncology, Mohs Micrographic Surgery, reconstructive surgery, general dermatologic surgery, and a broad range of advanced dermatologic cosmetic surgery with local anesthesia.
The Advanced Cosmetic Dermatologic Surgery Fellowship provides a similar surgical experience without any training in Mohs Surgery. The cosmetic fellow will be involved in the cosmetic portion of the practice from the marketing, consultation, pre-op, surgery, post-op, and maintenance phases of the patient care.
